Great concept and very helpful but, only in "Calm Conditions".
Read the fine print, "Up to 4mph water currents", which is almost nothing. I've had my boat float away on numerous occasions with very light water ripples and I bought a 1200H which is made for boats over 20' while I use it on a very light 17' aluminum boat.
Again, great concept but needs more improvements on this very specific issue. The line does not lock up if you pull swiftly on it (similarly to how a seatbelt works) so you're going to lose your boat until you pull all 80' of line back in with you.

I'm retired and live in FL and fish "almost" everyday. I've had my Dakota for 7+ years now and it works today as good as it worked brand new. I can always count on it to have my boat at the dock when I return from parking my truck. The product is great, BUT the people at the company are better. I cannot say enough good things.

I sold my other boat and now have a Skeeter. This is my 2nd purchase of Dakota and I love it dearly! I'll tell you, this is a wonderful (x5) product. You won't be disappointed. I think every boater in America should own one!

The Dakota Retriever is amazing! It is very well built and operates as advertised. This will make solo launching so much easier. I highly recommend!

I fish several times a week from April to November - and almost always by myself. Let me tell you, this Dakota Boat Retriever turns launching a boat into stupid easy. I love it!

This is the best thing I could have ever bought for launching my boat. Every time I go to Toledo Bend or Sam Rayburn people ask "where did you buy that?". I could sell a bunch of these things just going to these two lakes. Dakota is an incredible product!

I have a 24' pontoon boat and launch each weekend so easily with my Dakota. What used to be a clumsy and dangerous task, is easy as pie.

Dakota is wonderful! It saves all the back/forth & in/out when launching by yourself. So easy & predictable use.
